Terms of service
These terms cover your use of SkillForge. By creating an account, you agree to them.
Last updated: 2 June 2026. These terms are a contract between you and SkillForge, a sole trader based in Leicester, England ("we", "us").
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using SkillForge, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. One account is for one person; don't share access.
3. Using the service
Course content is licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, scrape, or share lessons or your account without our written permission. Please use the service lawfully and respect other members in any community spaces.
4. Free and paid plans
We offer a free tier with limited access and paid subscriptions (Pro) that unlock further content and features. The features of each plan are described on our pricing page and may change over time.
5. Billing, renewal and price changes
- Payment processor. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not store your full card details.
- Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period (monthly unless stated) at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from your account or by contacting us. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for; we don't pro-rate part-months unless required by law.
- Price changes. We may change prices, but we'll give you reasonable advance notice before a change affects your renewals.
6. Refunds and your cancellation rights
If you are a consumer in the UK/EU, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase. Because SkillForge gives immediate access to digital content, by starting a course during that period you acknowledge you may lose this 14-day right for content already accessed. Outside of your legal rights, refunds are at our discretion. Nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
7. Content and availability
We work to keep content accurate and the service available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We may update, add, or remove courses over time, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted access.
8. Intellectual property
All course content, branding, and software are owned by SkillForge or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access them while your account is in good standing.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
SkillForge is educational and does not constitute professional, financial, legal, or career advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or misuse the service. On termination your right to access content ends.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll let you know. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law gives you other rights.
